After graduating from the University of Delaware, Don Pusey went to work for Campbell Soup in the capital assets department.  Don soon realized he wanted more direct control of a business and in 1968 made a career decision to join a small, three-man shop of a local electrical contractor who needed a person with a business background to enable the company to grow.  The plan was successful as the company changed ownership and was incorporated as Donald A. Pusey, Inc. in 1984.  During this time period there was a substantial growth in sales and the company grew to a total of 46 full-time employees.  By the early 90’s, Pusey Electric had become a recognizable and trusted name within the industry and known as one of the premier electrical design-build contractors in the area.  With over 140 employees in 2009, Pusey Electric opened the doors to their second office location in Malvern, PA to further expand their operations.

Pusey Electric has completed over 143 million square feet of space for commercial and industrial buildings of various types including projects for numerous Fortune 500 companies. The residential and jobbing division has completed work in over 84 thousand new homes and performed thousands of smaller electrical jobs.  During this time the project management team has developed into one of the most experienced groups in the area with over 200 years of experience dedicated to offering the highest quality service to each of our clients. Pusey Electric’s main strength is its nucleus of long-term project managers, foreman and journeymen electricians who go the extra mile for our customers.

Along the way, Pusey Electric has made it a goal to give back to the community.  For the past few years, Pusey Electric has been one of the largest donors to the Christmas Fund of the Salvation Army of Chester.   The Salvation Army honored Don by giving him their “Doing the Most Good” award.  Pusey Electric has also headed and contributed to various charities that have funded the college education of more than 62 students.  The company continues to assist Habitat for Humanity, Handi-Crafters, LVMAC (support for veterans’ families) and other charities in helping to lend a hand to those in need.
